ViewPoint Exhibition

Since 1968, the Cincinnati Art Club has annually hosted the ViewPoint Exhibition.
ViewPoint originated as an open juried art show to display the diversity of work created within the Greater Cincinnati arts community. Since that time, the show has expanded to encompass works submitted from across the country and from many artists outside the United States. It is the longest continuous annual open juried art exhibit in the Southwestern Ohio area.

Originally held in the Cincinnati Art Club’s own Herman & Bessie Wessel Gallery, it is now displayed in one of the many outstanding commercial galleries in the Cincinnati area. Emphasis has been and continues to be on showcasing the highest quality of work, regardless of the school or classification of art. Viewpoint is open for fine art in all media. The following media are EXCLUDED: photography, video, crafts, fiber, AI or computer-generated art, painting on photos or prints, and jewelry. Paintings created in workshops or classes also are not accepted.

Entry is open to all artists 18 years of age and older. Only totally original work conceived and executed by the entrant is accepted. All artwork is for sale. A distinguished three-juror panel makes selections for the show from submitted digital images. The Awards Judge determines the Best of Show, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Honorable Mention and other Awards of Merit. Awards are based upon the review of actual artwork hanging in the gallery.

“Comparing Apples to Apples” a ViewPoint 56 Workshop

August 23 and 24, 9 AM to 4 PM

Join us at the Cincinnati Art Club for this workshop, part of the ViewPoint 56 celebration, focusing on Lon Brauer’s approach to improving one’s practice and techniques in art, literally and figuratively, just like comparing apples to apples. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out, this hands-on experience will broaden your artistic horizons. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, create, and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. See you there… and perhaps at the ViewPoint 56 Exhibition of artists works from around the country.
