Congratulations to our 2024-25 Scholarship Award winners!

The Cincinnati Art Club Scholarship Committee invited Fine Art students from Northern Kentucky University, University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, Mt. St. Joseph, Thomas More, and the Art Academy of Cincinnati to submit artwork for scholarship. There were 18 participants. The committee had hard decisions to make as we evaluated the work. The following are excerpts from the selected winners:

Graziana Wojtylak– $500 Scholarship
Graziana is a student at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and expects to graduate in 2026.  Graziana’s body of work explores the natural world and how it connects to our human experience. She uses nature as a tool for storytelling, and how it can be related to our modern lives. She also uses a mix of materials and mediums but has centered her work with gouache on wooden panels. She’s focused on this exploration through a high chroma palette with an interest on the vast color spectrum of green to blue, and specifically visualizing depictions of flora and water. She believes, in our increasingly digital and consumeristic world we often find ourselves removed from our environment, and the goal of her work is to offer a reconnection and renewed appreciation for our natural world and how those structures within it can become a reflection of self and our lives.

G. Biles– $250 Scholarship
G. is a student at Northern Kentucky University who expects to graduate in 2027 and whose work centers on the image to translate expression and not so much in words. To quote G: “I want people who feel alone to see my art and instantly understand where I’m coming from. I hope my art inspires tolerance and love of anything they don’t consider beautiful.”

Sophia Motz– $250 Scholarship
Sophia is a student at Mount St. Joseph University expecting to graduate in 2026. She believes that, both life and art are about learning, growing, and expression, and the ways one can learn or grow in one sense can be applied to the other even if through obscure means.
