2024 Eighth Annual Greater Cincinnati
High School Plein Air
The Cincinnati Art Club is delighted to announce the winners of the 2024 Greater Cincinnati High School Plein Air Competition. It was held at Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum on September 21, 2024. This year the Interlochen Arts Camp, which is a world-renowned summer arts program in Michigan is offering scholarships for their 2025 summer season to the winners and HSPA participants.
The five student artist Award Winners’ work will start their display to the public in the Cincinnati Art Museum’s (CAM) Rosenthal Education Center. After approximately 1 year on display at CAM, they will travel to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, Harold C Schott Education Center for a year’s display.
We hope everyone who participated enjoyed the HSPA this year. Please tell your fellow students and teachers so they can plan on participating next year!
Winners of the Eighth HSPA Competition
First Place
1st place – Ashley Heibel, Colerain High School
$500 cash award, a trophy for school display, a full tuition scholarship to Interlochen Visual Arts Camp for Summer 2025, plus display of their artwork for 1 year at public locations in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Second Place
2nd Place – Kaitlyn Rassi, Summit Country Day High School
$200 cash award, a full tuition scholarship to Interlochen Visual Arts Camp for Summer 2025, plus display of their artwork for 1 year at public locations in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Third Place
3rd Place – Lekish Sai Podili, Syacmore High School
$150 cash award, a 75% tuition scholarship to Interlochen Visual Arts Camp for Summer 2025, plus display of their artwork for 1 year at public locations in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Fourth Place
4th Place – Grace Ludwich, William Henry Harrison High School
$100 cash award, a $2000 scholarship to Interlochen Visual Arts Camp for Summer 2025, plus display of their artwork for 1 year at public locations in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Fifth Place
5th Place – Amber Ramrez-Sanchez, Northwest High School
$50 cash award, a $1500 scholarship to Interlochen Visual Arts Camp for Summer 2025, plus display of their artwork for 1 year at public locations in the Greater Cincinnati area.
