The Cincinnati Art Club (CAC) and Greenacres Foundation are excited to announce the winners of the fifth annual Greater Cincinnati High School Art Students Plein Air Art Competition.

The four student artist Award Winners’ work will start their display to the public in the Cincinnati Art Museum’s (CAM) Rosenthal Education Center. After approximately 1 year on display at CAM, they will travel to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, Harold C Schott Education Center for a year’s display.

We hope everyone who participated enjoyed the HSPA this year. Please tell your fellow students and teachers so they can plan on participating next year!

Winners of the Fourth Annual Greater Cincinnati High School Plein Air Competition

First Place

1st Place- Hope Seibert, Ursuline Academy, for her Color Marker piece, $350 cash award, plus display of the artwork for 1 year at public locations in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Second Place

2nd Place – Mia Rahner, Summit Country Day School, for her Black Marker drawing, $150 cash award, plus display of the artwork for 1 year at public locations in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Third Place: Corner of the Garden

3rd Place – Ellie Arkus, New Richmond High School for her graphite drawing, $100 cash award, plus display of the artwork for 1 year at public locations in the Greater Cincinnati area.

CAC Artists' Choice

CAC Artists’ Choice- Audrey Kirwin, Saint Ursula Academy, for her color marker drawing, a $50 Plaza Gift Card, a one year Student Membership in the Cincinnati Art Club, plus display of the artwork for 1 year at public locations in the Greater Cincinnati area.

A drawing was held to determine the winner of a Ugo pochade box and tripod. One of the students, Cailee Gilfillen, New Richmond High School, was the winner and can use it for future plein air expeditions.
